Summer Bucket List

Because this is my last year of A-Levels and I start university in Autumn, this summer is the longest one I’ve ever had, and needless to say I’m very excited! I leave school at the end of May and don’t start university until the beginning of October, giving me 4 months (minus 2 weeks of exams) to do whatever I so wish. Now whilst I can manage a week or two of pure lazy-ness, I don’t think I can justify spending 4 months of my life living in pajamas and watching thrilling daytime TV *cough* Jeremy Kyle *cough*. Therefore, for the sake of my sanity, I present to you my Summer Bucket List!

1. Camping:

After spending a lot of my childhood in a tent in Scotland I have grown to love camping. There’s something so nice to be able to wake up and just be in the middle of the countryside, so this summer I want to go camping again and get back into the country!

2. 5k:

I am currently working on improving my fitness levels so I’m hoping that by the end of summer I will be able to run a 5k race with relative ease.

3. Travel:

I love to explore new places so I want to make the most of the long holidays and visit some places I’ve never been before. I’ve already booked two holidays (London and Spain) so watch this space to find out more!

4. Read:

A-Levels seem to be taking up my whole life and I don’t seem to have much time to keep up with my other interests. I used to read all the time, I love books and I love being transported anywhere in the universe, but after only reading a handful of books in the last year or so, I’m having serious withdrawal symptoms.

5. Capsule Wardrobe:

At the moment my wardrobe is full of old clothes that I’ve had for years, my boyfriends baggy t-shirts which I live in, and clothes that don’t fit anymore. So my aim this summer is to build up a capsule wardrobe of classic pieces that will last, ready for university.

6. Etsy:

After learning how to make wire jewelry I have started to spend a long time choosing beads and making things, so what better way to earn some extra money than by doing something you love?

7. Learn New Things:

This one’s pretty self explanatory, I want to learn some new skills. I’m not sure what I would like to learn at the moment. Maybe Spanish, crochet, knitting, baking?

So what plans have you got for your summer?

  1. Sounds like an amazing summer you have planned! I am just jealous of your travel plans:) I’m hoping to do some camping this summer too and hopefully see some new places as well.
